For Rebecca Thomson, time is elastic. While the rest of the world is constrained by 24-hour days, Thomson somehow manages to stretch hers.
The list of her accomplishments and achievements is nothing short of daunting: from president of the Chicago Association of Realtors to recent MBA graduate of the University of Chicago’s prestigious Booth School of Business. The demands on her time are many – she is the regional vice president overseeing Coldwell Banker Realty’s Chicago, Northwest Indiana and Southwestern Michigan offices. Meanwhile, she also manages to chair the Strategic Plan for the National Association of Realtors, serve as a director on both the national and Illinois Realtors boards, and raise two adorable children.
Thomson was attracted to Coldwell Banker for its values and culture: “We pride ourselves in helping our agents lead exceptional lives, in part, through our Culture of Awesomeness,” she remarks. That awesomeness is evident in the enviable and dynamic leadership team she’s cultivated over the past three years.
Her team has transformed the organization and is the driving force behind the ever-increasing number of savvy brokers gravitating to the high-level coaching and strategies she and her team provide. This team, coupled with CB’s impressive tech platforms, has ushered in an era of growth for both Coldwell Banker and for the amazing agents they serve.
“Working smarter and not harder is key, and there is nothing that my team and I love more than help an agent transform their business and their lives through the work we do together.”
Does she sleep in those 24 hours? She simply winks and moves on to the next question. Amid the awesome responsibilities she carries, she enters every room with a spark in her eye, a smile on her face and a drive that never seems to cease. Her energy is infectious, and her leadership continues to make headlines.
