“Every one of these individuals entrusted me with their dream of home ownership,” says Pat Cannone, senior loan consultant at loanDepot. “I take this responsibility seriously.”
Cannone boasts a formidable array of specialties, markets and product types: first-time homebuyers and condos; multiple state licenses; DuPage and Kane counties; conventional, FHA, VA and IHDA loans; and renovations. He started out in the investment side of things and transitioned to the world of mortgage and real estate when a Realtor said, “You are fantastic with people, patient and detail-oriented, and with your financial background you would be great.”
Declaring that he will move mountains to deliver in a timely fashion, Cannone remains a phone call, text or email away. He believes that being accessible is paramount and is proud to hear clients say, “He was there for me when needed.”
Cannone has a valued colleague in Elizabeth Manley, who has been at his side for more than nine years. “She is an integral part of our success,” he shares, praising her skill managing his CRM and prepping files for loan registration. Manley is a licensed loan officer herself and an able production specialist.
After reviewing a borrower’s application, Cannone schedules a follow-up to discuss their goals, especially their payment comfort zone. “My goal is to ensure the borrower is comfortable with their payment,” he says. “I give them loan options and set proper expectations about the process and how much they have to bring to closing.” Despite the COVID pandemic, he has delivered timely purchase closings, along with closing the influx of refinances.
Cannone has earned top industry honors, including loanDepot’s Chairman’s Elite club, PERL Platinum club and Chairman’s club; Scotsman Guide Top Originator; and Five Star Professional award from Chicago magazine. Music dominates his spare time: He collects vintage turntables and owns a 1916 Victrola on which he plays his 78s.
Cannone is excited to co-host the “Real Estate Revealed” radio show. It is, as he puts it, “a fun way to convey my thoughts on how I can help as many as possible grab a piece of the American Dream.”
