A previous career in interior and landscape design gives Marisol Finnegan an incredible value-add to offer the buyers, sellers, renters and investors she assists in the northwest suburbs: A serious eye for the hidden potential in any property.
Finnegan, a real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Realty, created beautiful and efficient spaces in homes for a living before she made the transition to real estate sales nine years ago.
“I love to show beautiful homes and offer candid advice about the many possibilities,” Finnegan says. “Helping others search for the perfect property to meet their needs means everything to me.”
A resident of Prospect Heights since 2006, she has intimate knowledge of the area and a strong desire to make her hometown the place clients will want to call home too.
“I enjoy my work,” Finnegan says. “I really love every step of the way in this profession.”
Finnegan guides clients throughout the process, educating first-time buyers on what to expect along the way and consulting with seasoned buyers on upsizing, downsizing and investment opportunities.
“When your customers are fully aware of the procedures, timelines and paperwork,” she says, “they’ll feel far more comfortable and know that they’re well taken care of.”
Finnegan works with sellers to promote their homes, establish proper pricing, educate them on current market conditions and maximize their return on investment. She also consults with them on the current design and staging trends buyers look for and helps position their properties to reflect those trends.
“Understanding my clients’ needs is my No. 1 priority, so I can have the ability to negotiate better on their behalf,” she says. “My fiduciary relationship is with my clients, and I take that responsibility very seriously.”
Bilingual, she negotiates in English and Spanish, provides exceptional customer service, is always available for showings or to answer questions and runs a business mostly based on referrals and repeat clients.
A married mother of three children, she loves dogs, books, painting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
