Driven from a young age, Lin Takrudtong worked with his aunt, a Chicago Realtor, during his summer breaks in college. The knowledge and experience he gained while doing so allowed Takrudtong to seamlessly transition into mortgage financing upon graduating from Purdue University. Despite the diversity of the lending industry—from the relative ease of the early 2000s to the housing collapse of 2009 to, most recently, the pandemic—he is always prepared to navigate challenges and meet his clients’ needs.
Takrudtong has spent nearly two decades developing his skills assisting first-time homebuyers and dealing in all residential loan types, including reverse mortgages. Specializing in the vast Chicagoland real estate market, he is a creative communicator who uses analogies to provide clarity when explaining loan options to his clients. “I have two mantras,” explains Takrudtong. “One, I speak with my clients as if I am speaking with my family members and close friends. Two, I will always be upfront and tell the truth.” The emphasis on trust that he places on his relationships with his clients has undoubtedly contributed to his business’ comprising mostly return clients and referrals. He has also been named among the top 1 percent of mortgage loan originators for the past four years by Mortgage Executive Magazine.
Takrudtong’s dedication is clear. As he notes, “The ability for my clients to reach me and connect with me at any time prior to, during and after the transaction is paramount.” Takrudtong enjoys traveling the world with his wife, spending time at the beach and tapping into his artistic side by creating and playing music. He’s been a member of multiple bands over the past 15 years. He also enjoys the amazing dining scene (especially Thai food) Chicago has to offer.
