Clients say they become like family while working with real estate Broker Domenica Koch. “My goal is to make every client feel like my only client,” she says. “That means picking up my phone and calling back as soon as possible. With this market, you have to be ready to go if the perfect home for your client pops up.”

Koch and her husband built their first home in Lake County and have raised their children there. She says she loves the flexibility real estate gave her to raise her kids while being a working mom. Now, as she and her husband celebrate their 30-year anniversary, she’s grateful to have been able to help her kids get a college education.

Koch says that while she’s experienced market ups and downs in her 27 years in real estate, the past two years presented many unforeseen challenges. “It forced agents to sell homes differently,” she says. “Working with buyers meant they were competing in multiple offers for each house. I was able to help them secure a contract for the home that they fell in love with.”

Koch has sold over 800 homes in her career and was awarded for her 2021 sales volume with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. Additionally, she earned the Diamond 2021 Residential Top 2 Percent Transactions award from Mainstreet Organization of Realtors. 

While understanding clients’ needs and wants is imperative to her success, Koch says the secret is paying attention to their cues: “There is nothing better than to see a first-time buyer’s eyes light up when they finally find ‘The One’ for them.”
