Kelly J. Price, Senior Mortgage Consultant

Wintrust Mortgage

With nearly 20 years in the business, Kelly J. Price brings a subtly different approach to mortgage lending. “There is a finesse with managing expectations and emotions with each deal that comes with years of practicing how to relate, bridge communication and connect with everyone involved,” she says. “Making what can be a stressful and cumbersome process somewhat fun and enjoyable is big goal of mine for each and every client.”

Price has received numerous awards and honors throughout her career. These include Chicago Agent magazine’s 2020 Loan Officer of the Year, National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America’s Top 50 (for teams) in 2018 and the national Five Star Mortgage Professional award for customer satisfaction, which she has won for 7 years and counting. Price is also a member of Wintrust Mortgage’s President’s Circle, which is an elite group of top producers.

Known for getting difficult deals done, Price often hears clients express gratitude for her transparency and commitment to finding unique solutions to challenging problems. “I am a good listener and take the time to dig deeper into people’s lives to achieve a better understanding of how to help them accomplish their goals with strategic game plans,” she says.

Price lends in all 50 states and has extensive experience in Chicago, its surrounding states, as well as Florida, Texas and California. Her niche markets include new-construction lending, non-warrantable condominiums, down-payment assistance programs and creative finance. While many of Price’s clients are business owners and repeat buyers, a large amount of her time is also dedicated to educating first-time homebuyers about financial assistance to bridge down-payment gaps. Over the years, Price and her team have been an important lender partner to the Chicago Housing Trust, formerly the Chicago Community Land Trust, which helps buyers to finance affordable housing in Chicago.
