Through her previous work at a law firm, Jan Kupiec was able to garner a unique perspective on the legal aspects of real estate. It wasn’t long before she decided to apply her extensive experience to her own real estate career, and she’s been optimizing the buying and selling process for her clients ever since.

Kupiec is a Realtor for Baird & Warner’s Edgebrook office, working with clients on the Northwest Side of Chicago and in the surrounding suburbs. She deals with everyone from first-time buyers to relocation clients, specializing in single-family homes, condominiums and multi-unit properties. After originally earning her real estate license as part of her legal administration degree, Kupiec worked as a real estate and probate paralegal. She also worked with attorneys to open a real estate law firm and became their legal administrator. Eventually, she left the firm to focus on her own real estate career, and her previous legal experience has helped her succeed in the field ever since.

Kupiec ensures her clients are equipped with the information needed to locate their dream home or generate the most competitive listing possible. She is especially skilled at handling negotiations due to her comprehensive knowledge of marketplace activity. She was also featured in Top Agent magazine’s cover and cover story. Additionally, Kupiec’s clients appreciate her friendly demeanor, honesty and ability to accommodate their individual schedules. “I become friends with all of my clients while we are working together and remain friends with most after closing,” she says.

Outside of work, Kupiec is a board member of the Edgebrook Community Association and the Everyday Edgebrook organization. She is also a member of the Edgebrook Woman’s Club. In her free time, she enjoys Zumba and spending time outdoors whenever possible.
