Jacqueline Patton-Trail transitioned to real estate over five years ago after working as an attorney at a fast-paced insurance-litigation defense firm. Now a broker associate with Baird & Warner, she continues to maintain her law license, crediting her experience as an attorney with her exceptional ability to negotiate as a Realtor. “I know contracts, and I know property law – I use this knowledge daily to obtain the best deals for my buyers and sellers.”
Raised on Chicago’s North Side, Patton-Trail attended Loyola Academy, where students hail from both the city and suburbs. This is when her love of Chicagoland’s diverse towns, villages, cities and neighborhoods first developed. She went on to graduate from the University of Illinois, Champaign, returning to Chicago to attend Loyola University School of Law. A three-time Chicago Marathon finisher, she trained on the Lakeshore Path, exploring various neighborhoods along the way. “I pride myself on knowing the areas that make Chicagoland so special,” she shares. In fact, she has been lucky enough to aid clients in the purchase and sale of homes in over 34 Chicago neighborhoods and 23 Chicago suburbs. Patton-Trail travels anywhere her clients ask of her. “If my license covers it, I’m there,” she says.
2021 was a record-breaking year for Patton-Trail, who was thrilled to receive the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Outstanding Sale Achievement Award naming her a Top Residential Producer. Ending 2021 with approximately $13.5 million in sales, Patton-Trail ranked in the top 3% of Baird & Warner’s many agents companywide and was presented with the prestigious Founder’s Club Award.
Patton-Trail describes her business style as “easy-going and fun, but also direct.” Her goal, she says, “is to usher her clients through the purchase or sale process with as minimal stress — and as much joy — as possible.” This market has been difficult, and she feels that it’s important to communicate to her clients that her business hours “truly are 24/7.” “Real estate is my greatest passion – I find it fun, fulfilling, and challenging – it just doesn’t feel like work.”
When she isn’t helping clients buy and sell homes, Patton-Trail enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, swimming and exploring with her husband, Jamie, her two year old son, Declan, and their three dogs.
