Not only did Carly Jones grow up in Highland Park, but she also raises her own family in the same area. Having lived in the city, and worked in both Lakeview and Lincoln Park, Jones is always eager to share her knowledge of the Chicago landscape with her clients. A licensed attorney, she previously worked in general litigation. It was her work during the most recent housing crash that sparked her interest in real estate, as she dealt in hundreds of large-development foreclosures — which weighed heavily on her. Jones knew she wanted a change.
A certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert, she has served Chicago’s North Shore for six years. She now adds to her markets southwestern Michigan — where she proudly assisted her firm in opening its new location. “My clients also like that I am a lawyer, so I have a stronger understanding of contracts and negotiation,” notes Jones. Her customers often remark that she is straightforward and very detail-oriented. Jones’s time in law honed her listening and communication skills, which give her a competitive advantage in every facet of real estate. She partners with each client to build confidence in the process by forecasting possibilities and managing contingencies. Perhaps the best compliment Jones has received from a client is that they wish she could organize all areas of their life!
For all of Jones’ professional success, she’s most proud of the accomplishments of her two daughters in skating and soccer over the past year. Jones is a member of her local and national Realtor associations, and serves as co-president of Braeside Elementary’s Parent Teacher Organization, as well as lead of the president’s parent-teacher council for District 112 in Highland Park. She enjoys reading, running and creating art via paint-by-numbers. Yet her greatest joy comes from her family, and she finds satisfaction in helping families find the place where they can enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
