Switching brokerages last year, learning the ins and outs of a new company, and expanding their team were all huge adjustments for team leaders Amy DeRango and Kelly Baysinger of The PAK Group, @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. Plus, the two new moms juggled work-life balance issues. Yet, they still managed to have a record-breaking year, selling more than $37 million in volume and upwards of 100 units–a career best.

These outstanding results placed them in the Top 5 teams amongst their large and highly productive Arlington Heights office.  To top it off, they hit another incredible milestone their first year with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate —the company’s coveted Road to Rolex award.

“Clients often tell us we’re great listeners and that we bring calm to a chaotic situation,” the women say. “As Realtors, we are counselors for our clients, and they depend on our advice.” Born and raised in Arlington Heights, DeRango and Baysinger have been friends since they attended John Hersey High School together. Working as a team with a true family bond, they serve buyers and sellers of all budgets and situations.

“We’re unique from other teams in that we were all—five agents total — previously connected outside of this industry,” they explain.  “Our shared history provides a strong synergy that benefits our clients.”  Their results are undeniable: Both DeRango and Baysinger were Club winners with another company over the years, among many accolades, and continue to grow their business year after year. Now, with powerhouse @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, they continue to reap the benefits of running a mostly referral-based business that keeps them on their toes.

Life in the past couple years has been full of surprises and shifts, but for the solid team of DeRango and Baysinger, quiet strength wins every time. “We try to make this process as fun and stress-free as possible,” they say. “We serve clients with a strong-but-no pressure approach.”
