Aaron Wise, Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Guaranteed Rate Affinity

The past two years have been record breaking for Aaron Wise, vice president of mortgage lending at Guaranteed Rate Affinity. He has continued to hit career highs in units and volume and was recognized again by the company as a President’s Club member in 2020 and 2021 due to his achievements.

To enhance his team’s concierge service level, he brought on his wife, Emily, shortly before they tied the knot this May. Her previous career in sales and hospitality makes her a wonderful addition to the team, elevating the agent- and client-facing experience. “Our Closing Concierge program, where we have a team member literally at each individual closing, absolutely enhances the client’s experience,” Wise says.

Wise initially began his career working with a mortgage company because they provided tuition reimbursement to help him take more technology courses. After a short stint juggling both, he continued working solely in mortgages because it seemed like an easy and natural fit, he says.

He’s been successful and growing his business ever since.

With over 20 years in the industry, he says the key is to spend as much time setting up the process as needed, while making the borrower feel comfortable and confident. “It’s easier to go through the process when the borrower knows the expected steps of that process,” he says. “Knowing the next steps eases their stress 100 percent,” he says.

Wise says it’s his ability to listen, simplify the process into easy-to-understand steps, relate to what his clients are going through and always be available that makes working with him different from working with other lenders.
