The Adduci Blackwood Group is more than a real estate team — they’re also a mother-daughter duo. Susan Adduci and her daughter, Madison Blackwood, both Realtors with Baird & Warner, love working together and consider themselves equal partners. Since they are each from a different generation, Adduci states, “We each bring a unique set of skills to our business. Because there are two of us, especially when the market is hot, we are always available to run out and show a home or meet for a listing appointment with our clients.”

As specialists in the southern suburbs, Adduci and Blackwood are innately familiar with the local market. “The areas we serve are markets where we grew up, currently live and care about,” explain the pair. “Both of us were born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago and have been very involved with the local communities in many ways our entire lives.”

The team has a background in the communication industry, which they believe helps them succeed. Clients love that they answer their phone and are very responsive. “We truly believe that treating people right and communicating with them along the way is a recipe for success,” they say.

They create unique buyer and seller guides, which they explain to clients in person. Adduci and Blackwood meet up with their buyers before they commence the home search to discuss the clients’ particular search criteria, as well as to explain the current market. Similarly, they meet with sellers at their homes to walk them through what they need to do to get the house ready to sell. “Decluttering or painting a few rooms could end up getting our seller significantly more money when they sell, which is our end goal,” they remark.

When not assisting clients in finding their perfect home, both Adduci and Blackwood love to travel and catch up on Netflix shows. Adduci loves spending time with her grandchildren (including Blackwood’s), while Blackwood enjoys photography and playing softball.
