Introducing clients to the hidden gems in Chicago’s northwestern suburbs, Stacey Corcoran has an eye for a property’s potential. “My favorite part of the job is imagining what life would be like in each home I visit,” says Corcoran, a broker with Coldwell Bank Realty.

Working with buyers and sellers ranging from young professionals to downsizers and those in search of a vacation retreat, Corcoran cites real estate as a longtime passion and infuses her enthusiasm into every interaction, whether it be with clients or colleagues. “I strive to make every client feel like my top priority,” she declares, “and really get to know them from the very beginning.”

Growing up in Schaumburg, Corcoran has lived in Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights. “I feel truly blessed to have called these towns my hometowns,” she shares, noting that she and her husband also own a summer home in Northern Illinois between Rockford and Galena.

A former certified shorthand reporter, Corcoran thrived in that high-stress environment, honing her listening skills, patience and attention to detail. “I’d say that court reporting gave me this incredible gift of staying focused, working under pressure and managing the emotions that can arise in real estate transactions,” she recalls, adding that the years spent listening to testimony and personal experiences prepared her to effectively communicate with her clients. “Knowing how and when to disseminate information is just as important as the information itself.”

During her tenure at d’aprile properties, Corcoran received multiple sales achievement awards, and over the course of her career, she has earned Pricing Strategy Advisor, Real Estate Negotiation Expert and Certified Staging Consultant certifications.

When not at work, Corcoran can be found spending time outdoors, exploring neighborhoods on foot or floating in the lake.
