To this day, Sammy Lubeck has completed deals in 50 local towns, proving that he truly is “Chicagoland’s real estate agent.”
“Spending plenty of time online and in my car has helped me learn about these communities to the point where my clients are in good hands,” says Lubeck, a broker with Baird & Warner. Still, his sweet spots are the North Shore and Barrington. In 2020, he finally broke into the luxury marketplace, closing several million-dollar deals, including a $2.5 million purchase for clients in South Barrington.
Incredibly accessible, considering he and his cellphone are in a relationship, Lubeck has a sense of humor and work ethic that buyers and sellers appreciate. “I have had to grind to establish myself in this industry and prove my worth to gain trust and clients,” he remarks. “That makes me appreciate every client, every home and every deal.”
That genuine sensibility landed Lubeck in Baird & Warner’s President’s Club in 2018 and 2019 and its Founder’s Club in 2020.
A career in real estate wasn’t always on his radar. While working in sports television after pivoting from a career in education, he caught an episode of Million Dollar Listing. He was intrigued enough to stop by his own real estate agent’s office to learn more about a career in the industry and decided to make the leap that day. Lubeck worked in real estate part-time for 11 years and has only been full-time for the past three. “When I made the decision to give real estate my full effort, I quickly realized that I was finally in charge of my own success,” he shares. “Once that sunk in, I knew I was ready for greatness.”
Now that there is light at the end of the COVID tunnel, Lubeck is eager to get back to playing basketball and traveling with friends.
