When the pandemic challenges and market explosion of 2020 collided last year, Phillip Dixon and Kasey Taylor, founding partners of the Taylor Dixon Group with Coldwell Banker, responded by immediately prioritizing what’s always driven their success: client well-being and taking care of their team. “In order to conduct business safely, it required many 7 a.m. Sam’s Club runs,” they say. “We even made pop-by trips dropping off PPE supplies to ensure we could keep our clients and families safe.”
Recently featured on HGTV’s “House Hunters” series, Kasey vice-chairs the Young Professionals Network of the Chicago Association of Realtors. For his part, Dixon was a 2019 winner of the Neighborworks of America Community Leadership award and serves on the CAR’s the 77 Diversity Committee, representing Woodlawn, one of the several Chicagoland neighborhoods the pair specializes in. Specializing in first-time buyers, investors and sellers across a variety of housing types, Dixon and Taylor love having the opportunity to work in the areas where they grew up.
“We collaborate with our clients, providing them advice but never pressuring them into a purchase or a decision,” they say. “We explain all the different forms and steps rather than simply saying, ‘Just sign here,’ which our clients truly appreciate.” They embrace their team dynamic and say it helps them each be in “multiple places at once,” while they always start off the process with in-person or virtual consultations to ensure that their clients’ needs, wishes and anxieties are all addressed up front.
And as if nine successful years in the business weren’t enough, well, soon enough there will be wedding bells for the Dixon and Taylor team! “We’re engaged!” they say. “We’ve built a business together, something to be proud of, and we’ve learned that we’re just better together.” Clients can rely on this power pair, who look excitedly towards their bright – and happy – future.
