Way beyond the basics, Laura Lindgren, a real estate broker with Baird & Warner Gold Coast, has a lot to offer clients: extensive knowledge of the city, a background in interior design and experience in property management.

Prior to real estate, Lindgren led a visual merchandising team that earned several accolades for its displays on the Magnificent Mile and in shops on Oak Street. “I bring an exceptional eye for design to each transaction with my clients,” she says, “to help them visualize the possibilities of each space, whether they are buying or selling.”

Lindgren started out in real estate managing apartment buildings for a local attorney who owned several units in Lincoln Park, Lakeview and the Near North Side area. “What drove me to real estate was the joy I found helping people find a place to live and exploring all the beautiful buildings and homes Chicago has to offer,” she shares.

Lindgren was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and moved to the North Side as a teenager. She has worked in the industry for more than 25 years, representing buyers and sellers in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Extremely prepared, she does as much research as possible for each transaction, listens carefully and shares as much knowledge as she is allowed.

Despite all the obstacles caused by COVID-19, Lindgren made Baird & Warner’s 2020 President’s Club and won Homesnap’s Top Agent award in both 2020 and 2021. “My success in real estate is because I love my job,” she declares. “It doesn’t feel like a job, actually.” Apparently, the feeling is mutual: 99.9% of her clients are referrals or repeat customers.

In her free time, Lindgren volunteers with Baird & Warner’s Good Will Foundation and regularly supports an animal shelter. She also enjoys constructing paper sculptures and professionally decorating commercial and residential spaces for Christmas.
