While studying finance at DePaul University, Matthew Rosen approached graduation, unsure of his future career aspirations. That’s when a friend introduced him to the mortgage industry, which piqued his interest, as it combined two things he loved: Finance and sales. The other defining factor that solidified Rosen’s interest in the industry was the ability to create your value and your income based on what you produce and how hard you work.

Rosen did just that, working long and hard hours to make sure his wife and two young children (and German Shephard puppy!) had all the advantages they could have. Without their unwavering support, none of his success would be possible. His most significant professional accomplishment last year was closing over $100 million in sales. “We even pushed at the end of the year to hit $130 million when we could have taken our foot off the gas,” he says. That strong work ethic led to Rosen being ranked a Scotsman Top 1% of Originators in Volume for the last two years in a row.

Along with his accessibility, knowledge and reliability, Rosen attributes much of his success to his team. “Without my amazing team, I would never be able to close as much as I do or with the same level of service to the client and the referral partner,” he says. “I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.”

Rosen states that his team treats every transaction as helping a family and not just a loan number. “We truly care that each client has a good experience and that all contingencies are met,” he says.

Rosen is grateful to his referral partners for trusting him with their clients and depending on him to come through for them. His team’s motto is “We close on time, every time.” He is also truly thankful to Neighborhood Loans and its two owners, Tony Ameti and Reno Manuele. “They are the hardest working bosses I have ever seen,” he says. “Their family-like atmosphere, while also being driven to be a huge company, is unmatched. They are true winners in every way. They have gone out of their way to support me and help me grow beyond my wildest dreams.”
