It takes a true real estate professional to master two marketplaces in their career, and Julie Busby, broker and founder of Busby Group at Compass, has done just that. Busby started her career 20 years ago in La Jolla, California, where she quickly became a top producer and sold real estate for nearly a decade. A move to Chicago meant starting over, but Busby was up to the challenge. In her first year, she sold $13 million worth of properties, and by her second anniversary she was in the top 1% of Chicagoland brokers, where Busby has remained ever since.

After working with one of Chicago’s top developers, Busby started Busby Group in 2016. “I identified the need for a full-service real estate team offering white-glove, concierge-level service for busy professionals and their families,” Busby says. As a result, Busby Group employs a full-time client concierge that handles anything and everything that makes clients’ lives easier.

During the pandemic, Busby strengthened the team’s charitable efforts with an ongoing partnership with the Chicago Food Depository. To date, the team has helped contribute more than 20,000 meals to Chicagoans in need.
