Leading a team allows brothers Joe and John Manglardi to take courageous steps forward, strategic steps back, listen to those who influence their business and become better every day.
Joe, now senior vice president of mortgage lending at CrossCountry Mortgage, changed companies for the first time in his eight-year career to partner with his brother, John, who established a successful team there in 2019. “We are developing an extraordinary team of talented professionals as we work to expand our name and legacy,” says Joe, who ranked in Scotsman Guide’s top 1% of mortgage lenders in 2019 and 2020 and made platinum all-star team (Top 100). John made Scotsman’s 2021 list of top lenders in the nation and grew his production from $25 million annually to almost $50 million in 2020. He is currently developing and recruiting a team now projected to close more than $100 million in production in 2021.
Extremely focused on the success of each client, the Manglardis educate them up front about the mortgage process, from a pre-application consultation, to an application and loan-structure review, all the way through the end of the homebuying journey. “Our main goal is to teach clients rather than just sell them,” John says. “They feel 100% informed and truly understand both their financing terms and the process itself.”
The Manglardi’s father owned a successful mortgage company, but they never planned to follow his lead. Before they entered the mortgage business, Joe worked in aeronautics, and John was a talent agent/manager and concert producer. Dissatisfied with their careers, however, they remembered their amazing childhoods, made possible by their dad’s career in lending, and decided to go for it. “Of course, we close loans, and it’s a priority to do so on-time,” they say. “But we try to stand out by offering top-tier customer service and open and honest communication throughout each transaction.”
