Organized and process-driven, Joanne Balbarin keeps to-do lists to help deals run smoothly. “My clients are like family,” says Balbarin. “I try to do what’s best for them. I value the relationships, and I’m on their side.” Balbarin insists the only way to learn about a neighborhood is to experience it. She grew up in the Edgewater community, lived in Streeterville for a brief stint and for the past two decades has called Andersonville home. She serves buyer and seller clients across markets in Chicagoland. The LAKE Group at Compass has been a Chicago Association of REALTORS Top Producing Team for two years running and achieved its highest volume to-date during the pandemic. In 2019, the group graced the August cover of Chicago Agent magazine. Also, as a member of National Association of Realtors, she recently completed the requirements for the Accredited Buyer’s Representative designation.
“Being on a team helps my business, as I have a veritable think tank at my disposal,” Balbarin says. “At least four of the team members have been in the business for over 10 years, have encountered pretty much everything and have go-to resources for all that our clients could possibly need.” What’s more, she is supremely dependable and can seamlessly assist with showings, inspections, staging and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Balbarin has worked in real estate for six years and became a broker in 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a certificate in project management from DePaul University. She brings more than a decade of experience in accounting, finance, event management and customer service to every transaction. This skill set and her ability to go above and beyond are vital keys for success. Her background in retail and hospitality provides for an exceptional customer experience.
She enjoys volunteering and is a passionate supporter of MCP Rescue and Dreams For Kids. She also enjoys dining out, feeding her wanderlust, tackling her never-ending reading list and searching for her dream home with her husband and fur baby.
