In the 2020 market that was full of uncertainty, Colin Hebson and Brendan Murphy easily adapted and changed on the fly, which helped their business grow tremendously. Hebson and Murphy, business partners and founders of Hebson-Murphy Group, Dream Town Realty, assist buyers and sellers, from first-time to luxury to investors, in River North, West Loop, Gold Coast, Bucktown, Wicker Park, Lakeview and Lincoln Square, as well as the North Shore. They know the ins and outs of each area from serving clients in those communities for more than two decades.
“From start to finish, we go the extra mile,” say Hebson and Murphy. “Our clients remain our top priority, from the day we sign the listing agreement to months after the closing.”
Since they work in a relationship-driven business, it’s not uncommon to see them playing a quick round of golf or tennis with clients. “We believe that our clients are like our family,” they say. “This is why we have had the same clients for 20+ years.”
Most of their clients come from referrals. “We have been doing this for a number of years at a high level,” they say. “Part of the fruits of our labor is that our clients feel comfortable enough to refer us to their friends and family.”
When they started in the business, they focused on new-construction residential development, which taught them how to deal with any and all types of clients. Over the years, the business evolved into a full-service residential brokerage group. Both men are proud fathers; Hebson has three high school boys, and Murphy has a toddler son.
