Christy Callahan, Licensed Real Estate Broker

@properties

Over the course of the last 22 years, Christy Callahan has learned a thing or two about home sales through buying, renovating and selling them for a profit. She has “flipped” nearly 20 properties; the work gave her a solid foundation for a highly successful career in real estate, she says.

“When we moved back home to the Chicago area after living in several other cities, my college roommate and dear friend, who is an @properties agent, encouraged me to become a broker,” Callahan explains. “She said, ‘You know the ins and outs of homes and how to sell them. You could really help people.’ So I joined @properties five years ago and love it.”

It’s her positive attitude and energy that her clients appreciate most, Callahan says, describing herself as a tireless resource. “I enjoy sharing my extensive knowledge of the market, pricing strategies and negotiation and marketing expertise,” she says. “My ability to establish trust and to connect with people and go above and beyond to help them has been instrumental to my success. Buying or selling real estate can trigger a lot of emotions and my goal is always to guide my clients and urge them to let me take on their stress to meet their need.”

Callahan received the Fastest Growing Agent Award from Homesnap in 2021 and holds a number of certifications from the National Association of Realtors, including Real Estate Negotiation Expert, Pricing Strategy Advisor, Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Seller Representative Specialist.

She says her proudest personal accomplishment, though, is helping her long-time friends sell their home on the first day it was listed on the Private Listing Network. “They received multiple offers above asking price and were able to find their ideal home to purchase in their desired neighborhood within just a few days.”

Callahan loves spending time with her family and thoroughly enjoys boating in the North Woods. She also gives back to the community as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Northlight Theatre.
