Growing up in the lending business, Andrew Tisler saw firsthand the challenges many face when trying to purchase a home, challenges that today help drive his commitment to helping his clients get in the best position possible.
Lending is all in the family for Tisler, a senior home lending advisor with Chase — his parents owned a real estate and mortgage company, and his older sister is also a successful lending advisor. He specializes in both first-time homebuyers and jumbo lending and brings 10 years of experience in real estate to his clients.
When he meets with clients for the first time, rather than dive right into numbers, he first learns as much as possible about their situations and answers questions. His easygoing approach makes them feel comfortable.
“I have many clients who value my honest approach and positive attitude,” he says. “My biggest joy in this role is seeing a client who is so happy in their experience with me.”
In 2020, despite the pandemic, Tisler had a record year closing loans for more than 500 families, with more than $250 million in funded volume. His commitment to not only helping his clients when they get their mortgage, but staying in close touch with them after closing, helps him stand apart from other lenders. It was a business practice that was critical last year.
“One thing that I am proud of is how I was able to assist many of my past clients who were impacted by COVID with options on their existing mortgage,” he says.
Tisler, who leads a five-person team, has been ranked the No. 1 home lending advisor at Chase, nationally, for the past six years. In 2019, Chicago Agent magazine readers voted him Loan Officer of the Year. He is also a member and sponsor of the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Young Professionals Network.
Outside of work, he loves to travel with his wife Andrea and three boys Camden, 7, Theo, 4, and Zeke, 1. One highlight of those travels was spending six months in Hawaii to start 2021, where they got to experience and get involved in the local community.
