Often in life, the saying goes that “two heads are better than one.” In real estate, this is certainly true. But in the history of power couples, while there’s Goldie and Kurt or Lucy and Desi, there’s also Chicago’s own Amy and Jim Foote, team leads with The FOOTE Team at Compass. Both lifelong Illinois residents and Chicago locals, Amy and Jim now lead a team of eight people and beautifully traverse the ups and downs of the market, with clients ranging from single families to investors and first-timers to down-sizers.

“I’m enthusiastic, and I work hard,” Amy remarks of her signature style. “What makes me happier than anything else is when my clients get caught up in that enthusiasm and they feel how that translates into caring about THEM and their needs.” Amy’s joy for real estate has not let up since getting into the business shortly after 9/11 — and despite the challenges of COVID-19, she says she and Jim haven’t slowed down at all. “We just kept our heads down, kept safe and kept working,” they say.

“I’m the calm, cool, collected guy who gets things done,” says Jim of his part in this dynamic duo.
