SwakeGroup consists of founder and President Todd Szwajkowski, along with brokers Amie Klujian, Liz LaTour and Ted Mortellaro. The group originally got its start in 2007, when Szwajkowski recruited Klujian to join the boutique brokerage where he worked at the time. “What evolved was a relationship based on mentoring and collaboration that we soon realized was collectively beneficial to both ourselves and our clients,” Szwajkowski says.
SwakeGroup, which operates under Dream Town Realty, serves all categories of buyers and sellers across all inventory types. The team has a passion for transforming spaces to maximize sellers’ returns and helping buyers create their dream homes.
The Chicago Association of Realtors has recognized each member of SwakeGroup as a top producer every year since the group’s inception. Szwajkowski attributes this success to their ability to provide services throughout all steps of the transaction, beyond just moving from contract to close. “I’m particularly proud of our team’s ability to interpret and communicate critical data in a way that empowers our clients to make the best decisions for themselves, all in an approachable, consultative manner,” he says. “I’m thankful that this has led to ever-growing loyalty among our clients, as evidenced by our continuous referral-driven growth.”
In 2014, SwakeGroup played an integral role in the launch of America’s first LGBT client services division in the real estate industry. “As laws began to change in ways that would dramatically affect how our LGBT clients could realize their real estate goals, together with Dream Town ownership, we built a team of brokers who now intimately understand these evolving dynamics — today and tomorrow,” Szwajkowski says.
