Rebecca Thomson, Regional Vice President

Coldwell Banker Realty

Whoever said “You can’t do it all” clearly hadn’t met Rebecca Thomson. Nothing short of a force of nature, Thomson is smart, driven, and equal parts elegance and eloquence. Her passion for real estate and infectious energy have made her a staple in the industry.

To Thomson, “Time is elastic,” and she is adept at stretching it as far as it will go. The past few months have been particularly busy; Thomson was named the Realtor of the Year by the Chicago Association of Realtors and made headlines as the new regional vice president for Coldwell Banker Realty. Never one to shy away from a challenge, this spring she finished her MBA at the prestigious University of Chicago just five days before giving birth to her second child.

Thomson’s meteoric rise has been 15 years in the making. She quickly made a name for herself with the new development tours she hosted in the late aughts. As she transitioned into management, she became a frequent guest on panels and webinars and in news coverage.

Known for her strategic mind, Thomson is a highly visible industry leader as a past president of CAR who currently serves on executive boards for the National Association of Realtors, Women’s Council of Realtors and Illinois Realtors.

Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, Thomson helmed her own consulting company, and her recent move speaks volumes about the direction the firm is headed. “I was inspired by the commitment to coaching and empowering agents to grow through best-in-class tools,” she says. “I love the steadfast commitment to promoting agents’ financial well-being and creating a culture of awesomeness. The more I learned, the more I knew that this was the brokerage for me: a company that cares and is committed to helping agents lead exceptional lives.”

Thomson rounds out an impressive leadership team that speaks volumes about the progressive direction of Coldwell Banker. If the past six months are any indication, both Thomson and Coldwell Banker will continue making headlines for the foreseeable future.
