Starting out as a leasing agent at 1350 N. Lake Shore Drive when she was just 18 years old, Jennifer Mills Klatt soon realized that she could make a great living as a broker. So when she was given the opportunity to start her own brokerage firm a couple of years later, she jumped at the chance. “I saw a need, and I filled it,” Mills Klatt says. “I wanted to work for myself and make my own schedule. I started with nothing and have grown my team over the years, making a very fulfilling and successful career.”

The leader of the Home Discovery Team at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, Mills Klatt and her colleagues work together to help clients all over Chicagoland. “It benefits everyone because we can count on each other to give clients expert care no matter what location,” she says. “Our business focuses on all of Chicagoland’s buyers, sellers and renters, and we deal with any kind of real estate. From primary residences to investments to second homes, we do it all.”

Mills Klatt’s team has achieved numerous successes, including being the No. 1 team at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty and winning the Chicago Association of Realtors’ platinum and gold awards for volume and units.

Known for her energy, drive and knowledge, Mills Klatt goes the extra mile for her clients. This year, she was selected to give an inspiring speech during the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Sales Awards ceremony, which was broadcast via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’m very proud of our industry’s ability to adapt to and master the changes in the way we handle business in a remote world,” she says.

An avid tennis player, Mills Klatt also enjoys cooking and dining out as well as flipping properties with her husband, who is a general contractor. She is also a volunteer at her church and its school.
