Elizabeth Gretz, Broker

The Gretz Team, Coldwell Banker Realty

A lengthy career in the matrimony industry prepared Elizabeth Gretz for selling real estate. As a wedding planner, Gretz was accustomed to emotional people participating in a momentous event in their lives and working with multiple vendors to pull it off. Operating a retail wedding store taught her the importance of customer service and marketing in a saturated field. Creating a wholesale line of bridal wear that she sold to wedding stores throughout the country taught her the importance of branding and positioning. And the arrival of her three beautiful children in less than 38 months made her determined to change careers.

“I needed to pull back on my 24/7 career in the wedding industry,” Gretz says. “I looked at opportunities that provided some type of flexibility, unlimited creativity and great earning potential.” She quickly realized that real estate met all of these criteria.

Leading The Gretz Team at Coldwell Banker Realty, Gretz provides concierge-style service to clients in the city and suburbs, from first-time buyers to downsizing senior citizens. The team also often serves clients who are relocating from the city to the western suburbs.

Masterful at marketing, Gretz provides clients with complimentary interior and exterior home staging to present their properties in the best possible light. Clients often choose The Gretz Team based on their collective enthusiasm and good nature. “People often refer to our sense of humor,” says Gretz. “Without a doubt, levity is key in stressful situations.”

That positive attitude has kept the team going during this difficult time, marketing energetically, maintaining a steady stream of business and adding new teammates to keep up the momentum.

A member of the National Association of Realtors and the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, Gretz enjoys learning new ideas, strategies and solutions every day from the team she leads. “I approach life from a place of gratitude,” she says. “I am passionate about living, which clearly translates into my work.”
