She won her company’s 2019 President’s Circle award for sales production and is among its top 100 agents in Chicago.
Karpman learned early on that real estate offers a great deal to those willing to work hard. “My mother was a Realtor for 30 years, and I loved that she had so much flexibility in her career,” she says. “This is a tough business, but it fits my adventurous, risk-taking spirit.”
That flexibility allowed Karpman to jump on an opportunity in 2018, when she was selected to participate as part of a crew in the World ARC, sailing from the Galapagos Islands to Tahiti. She put in so much work ahead of the trip that she was able to maintain her spot as the sales leader in her office the entire time she was gone.
While longevity in the business means she’s faced tough economic times, Karpman has developed the grit needed to stay the course and reap years of success. “In real estate and sailing, there are many potential storms and you never know what’s going to be thrown at you,” she says. “But I love what I do so much that it doesn’t feel like work.”
