Brad Lippitz, President

Brad Lippitz Group

With 27 years of experience in real estate brokering, Brad Lippitz draws on his unique professional background and industry knowledge to help his clients meet their goals. As president of the Brad Lippitz Group with Compass, Lippitz primarily serves luxury clients in the buying and selling of single-family homes, condominiums and co-ops of all types. Lippitz is a veteran of the Chicago urban real estate community, specializing in the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Lakewood Balmoral, Wicker Park and Bucktown markets.

Lippitz brings a unique perspective to his work, with years of experience in law, design, development and business. After earning his J.D. from the University of Chicago, he practiced commercial real estate law for five years before opening an art studio where he manufactured furniture and decorative accessories. Lippitz soon transitioned into real estate brokering, as it encompassed his passions for law, business, art, design and Chicago. His interdisciplinary background has given him exceptional navigation and negotiation skills, which he leverages to meet his clients’ needs.

Lippitz attributes much of his success to his familiarity with Chicago. “I have seen these neighborhoods grow, thrive and develop into distinctive communities,” he says. “I am one of those rare agents who can recognize the different and unique vibes of each block and subsections of each neighborhood.” This know-how, paired with his patience, dedication and respect for all those involved in the process, makes Lippitz an experienced straight shooter. He even helped clients navigate the aftermath of 9/11 and the 2008 recession, and has always placed client priorities front and center, building a strategy that works for each unique situation.

Lippitz has consistently earned multiple sales awards, including Platinum awards from the Chicago Association of Realtors. He was also recognized as a top LGBTQ executive by Crain’s Chicago Business in 2019, and his team consistently ranks among the top 10 in Chicago, with $80 million in property sold in 2019.
