With 19 years of experience in real estate, Antje Gehrken has established herself as a leader in the industry, driven by her perseverance and love of the work. Gehrken is president and designated managing broker at A.R.E. Partners, which serves both the residential and commercial markets in the greater Chicagoland area and in northwestern Indiana.

Having worked as a nationally touring musician for many years, Gehrken is no stranger to a tough industry. She learned early on that perseverance and passion would help her achieve her goals. When she made the leap into real estate, Gehrken drew on that same drive, along with her personal experiences as a real estate investor, condo developer and landlord, to guide her career and build relationships with clients.

Now with almost two decades’ worth of experience, Gehrken continues to prove herself a leader in the industry. In addition to managing her own clients, she coaches the brokers at A.R.E. Partners, drawing on her own background and exposing them to new opportunities. Gehrken sits on several committees for Illinois Realtors and the Chicago Association of Realtors, the latter of which she serves as treasurer as she prepares for the role of president-elect in 2020-2021. She has received numerous accolades, including the 2018 Chicago Association of Realtors’ President’s Award.

Gehrken’s clients often cite her exemplary professionalism, communication skills, empathy and knowledge of the market. She loves everything about real estate. “I feel I am personally always growing,” she says. “The residential side feeds my heart: helping first-time buyers, helping people downsize or sell family property, getting people through a difficult time, celebrating fulfillment of dreams. The commercial side feeds my head, because it gives me the opportunity to deal with numbers and business on a much larger scale.”

Gehrken is an active member of several Realtor organizations and is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member. She enjoys playing tennis in her spare time.
