In many ways, Casey DeClerk and Carrie McCormick are a perfect real estate match. Their common work ethic, values and personalities made it simple when DeClerk joined McCormick’s @properties team this year. The two brokers each contribute to the team’s success in their own way. A Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, McCormick is always available to negotiate for clients and get them what they need. A certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert, DeClerk makes sure each party in a transaction is treated fairly and that the outcome is always positive.
With her advertising background and solutions-oriented attitude, McCormick has the ability to create win-win situations. She is proud of building a team of the best people in the business, all of whom share her goals and support her mission. In 2018, her dedication and hard work earned her recognition at some of the highest levels offered by the Chicago Association of Realtors: the Platinum Award for sales volume and the Gold Award for number of units. “I had the privilege of working for more than 115 clients on their real estate goals,” says McCormick. “This was accomplished by setting goals and working hard, and through the amazing team of people I surround myself with every day.”
DeClerk brings seven years of experience in real estate and a diverse background to the team. She gained valuable communication skills and learned how to be patient, compassionate and adaptable when earning an undergraduate degree in psychology and through her work in the healthcare industry. “It helps me navigate problematic situations and remain calm,” she says. “My clients know I am their supportive, but objective, third-party advocate.” With an average list time of 13 days last year and deals that had a list-to-sale-price ratio of 99 percent, DeClerk’s numbers are well above average for Chicago. Named by ESTATENVY among the Young Ones to Watch, DeClerk is also an @properties top producer.
Both women are dedicated Realtor members. Outside of work, DeClerk volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and enjoys working out, visiting city street festivals and traveling. McCormick volunteers at Realtors to the Rescue, an organization that supports animal shelters.
