TJ Flodin is vice president of residential lending and branch manager for Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.’s River North branch. As a managing mortgage originator, Flodin provides expertise and guidance to consumers and fellow loan officers alike. He is a valuable resource for both groups thanks to his 19 years of experience and his standout record as a President’s Club member and nationally ranked originator.

“I treat every customer as I would like to be treated,” says Flodin, explaining his customer service philosophy. “I take every loan personally, and I treat clients like family.” Flodin works with borrowers from all walks of life but particularly enjoys helping first-time buyers by holding their hands and educating them through the process. His customers laud him for providing knowledgeable, thorough and timely service. “We’re a very competitive lender, but the way we really stand out is by how we take care of our customers,” he says.

Flodin takes the same personalized approach to working with the originators at his branch. “I manage my loan officers individually, because I know every one of them is very different,” he says. “I like to help them build their book of business in whichever way they want.” Over the course of his career, Flodin has mentored loan officers, created sales programs and improved sales process efficiencies. “I want my loan officers to succeed,” he says, “and it is very satisfying to see them do more business than they have done in the past and move to a higher level.”

In his own words, Flodin is living the dream in River Forest, Illinois. “I am married to a brilliant, beautiful career woman and have two great kids,” he says.

As competition ramps up in the mortgage world, Flodin is committed to providing the same excellent service to his clients and fostering a better-than-ever environment for motivated loan originators to thrive.
