Chicago’s Property Shop/Fulton Grace Realty
Something unexpected happened to John Floros on the way to purchasing investment properties for himself. He decided to leave his career in the hospitality industry to become a real estate broker. “I had a broker at the time who was helping me,” he says. “I really enjoyed the process of looking at properties, and saw his reaction to how happy I was when he helped me reach my goal of homeownership.”
Now he and fellow real estate broker Nick Nastos do the same for their clients at Chicago’s Property Shop team of Fulton Grace Realty. A former loan officer, Nastos previously worked in the mortgage side of the real estate industry. “After a few years of doing that and learning more about both sides of the transaction, my passion for real estate grew more and more,” he says. “Eventually I made the jump to full-time broker.” The team keeps up with market trends and attends multiple lunch-and-learns with other top-producing agents. They also use drone videos and Matterport technology to give their listings a great first impression online.
Floros and Nastos say bringing Chicago’s Property Shop team over to Fulton Grace Realty has helped a once small brokerage reach its full potential.
Their team serves first-time homebuyers, sellers, investors and luxury, high-end renters in the West Loop, River North, Gold Coast, Streeterville, River West, West Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Lakeshore East and the South Loop. Last year was a notable one for Nastos was 2017, who was a member of the team that helped sell out a new development in the River West neighborhood. The first quarter of 2018 is a particular source of pride for Floros; in that short time, he reached his sales volume from the previous year.
Clients rave about Floros and Nastos being honest, trustworthy, responsive, consistent, patient, knowledgeable and supportive. The one skill they say that has been most instrumental to their success is taking the time to listen to customers’ needs.
Nastos still beams about a once-in-a-lifetime trip he took with his wife Joanna, a six-week honeymoon with stops in Greece, Dubai and Maldives. And Floros continues to revel in the joy of his new career.
