Leila Zammatta founded Magellan Realty LLC in 1999 to make her mark in Chicago’s competitive real estate industry. As company president, Zammatta works with luxury buyers — many of whom are referrals and repeat customers — searching for their primary or secondary home in downtown Chicago. She also is responsible for all phases of Magellan Development’s condominium project, partnering with designers, branding agencies, developers, PR companies, among others to bring the project to fruition. “Working in high-rise condominiums with a development company and brokerage company has given me so much knowledge in construction, pricing, design and architecture,” she explains.

Born and raised in Chicago, Zammatta has both professional knowledge of the market as well as a local’s expertise and pride for her city. Prior to becoming a Realtor full-time, Zammatta balanced her career as a flight attendant for United Airlines with buying and flipping properties during her days off, ultimately deciding to get her real estate license to make the process easier and more financially rewarding.

In 2017, Zammatta focused her attention on Vista Tower, bringing in $400 million in current sales with more than a year left until the first delivery. “In the past 16 years, I have focused my career on conquering Lakeshore East,” she says. “This has been another amazing year in Lakeshore East and watching the Vista Tower construction is very exciting!”

Zammatta consistently ranks among the Top Producers in the Gold Coast, River North, West Loop, and Lakeshore East neighborhoods, an accomplishment she attributes in part to her years of traveling and learning to connect with people from all over the world.
