Danny Lewis ranks among the top 1 percent of producers in the city, and as leader of The Lewis Real Estate Group of EXIT Strategy Realty, he balances the roles of mentor and agent in order to ensure that every individual in the group is achieving success. Specializing in the Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Old Town, West Loop, River North, River West, Ukrainian Village, Roscoe Village, Gold Coast and Streeterville markets, Lewis primarily works with millennials and first-time buyers. “Most of the buyers I work with are adept in today’s technology and appreciate the fact that I can get a hold of them a number of ways,” he says, adding that he’s also started working with recently retired clients and those from out of state.
Prior to joining the industry seven years ago, Lewis worked in public relations and marketing, first for DePaul University’s athletics department, then for the school’s office of public relations. “It was a natural progression,” he explains. “Real estate gave me the potential to have unlimited earnings and be my own boss, so it was a no-brainer for me.”
In 2017, a year after what was his best year to date, Lewis faced the challenge of breaking his previous record. However, by year’s end, he became the first broker in his brokerage to be named among the top 1 percent of all agents city-wide as well as the first agent in his brokerage to surpass $20 million in sales. “I think my ability to be organized and lead others is taking me to the next level,” Lewis says. “And I think my clients keep returning to me because they appreciate that I respect their privacy and am not afraid to be honest with them.”
Lewis is an avid golfer and traveler, and he loves taking his dog for walks in the West Loop.
