Attorney Cynthia Zenko wants to subvert the stereotype that attorneys are hard to get a hold of and unavailable. “One of the most common complaints I hear about attorneys is that they don’t speak to the clients, or get back to them on their questions and concerns,” says Zenko, a residential and commercial real estate attorney. “For me, it’s important to give clients a sense of comfort and protection as I help them navigate through their transaction. I understand how stressful the process can be to people outside of our industry, so I make it my goal to educate my clients regarding their options and expectations every step of the way. ”

Zenko has focused almost exclusively on real estate law for over eight years, and this drive and dedication to real estate can be seen in her testimonials: Clients note that she’s a strong advocate, is thorough and on her game, and is patient and able to explain things in a way that puts them at ease. “Real estate is my passion, and I think it shows in my commitment to my clients, who often come back to me for all of their buying and selling needs,” Zenko says.

In 2017, after practicing for several years at a law firm handling high-volume real estate, Zenko started her own office, Zenko Law, P.C. “Running your own business is no doubt challenging and comes with its own set of obstacles. However, seeing the office grow and prosper is one of the most rewarding achievements I’ve experienced in my career,” she says.

Zenko has worked with thousands of buyers and sellers throughout the Chicago area, from purchase prices of $20,000 to over $4 million. “Whether the property is a condominium, cooperative, townhome, single-family home, multi-unit building, mixed-use building, commercial building or vacant land. Regardless of the type of property or price point, I can help,” she says.

Zenko is a member of several law and real estate associations, including the Chicago Association of Realtors and the Women’s Counsel of Realtors. In her free time, she also volunteers with the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Young Professionals Network. “Although I love real estate, it is a demanding business,” she says. “After a hard day, I find solace in my kitchen. I am a foodie at heart and I truly enjoy cooking. It helps me relieve everyday stressors and brings a little bit of peace into my life.”
