Raised by two real estate attorneys, Collin Wasiak was a jack of all trades before he followed his parents into real estate, working as a bartender, personal trainer and a legal assistant. Real estate proved to be the most natural fit for his career. “My family has a significant background in Chicago real estate, whether that meant working in the industry or owning investments spread throughout the downtown area,” he says.
All of his prior work experiences have paid off. Watching his parents and gaining expertise in a variety of fields taught him the basics of assisting clients at a top-tier level. He learned that being a real estate broker is about ensuring that the client’s best interests are met. “Because I provide them tools, resources and expert knowledge, my clients are able to make informed decisions during the buying, selling and leasing processes,” he says.
Wasiak’s ability to analyze and dissect clients’ needs in an expedited fashion allows him to productively assist them. “This, coupled with being personable and having a sense of humor, allows me to make it easier for my clients to navigate through the tough decisions many will come across during the sales process,” he says.
Wasiak works with a variety of clients: first-time homebuyers, builders/investors and sellers in the majority of downtown neighborhoods. His primary focus is on the West Loop, Fulton Market, Little Italy/University Village and Pilsen.
A Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) 2017 Top Producer, Wasiak has also been honored by @properties with the 2017 Outstanding Achievement Award. He is a member of CAR, the National Association of Realtors and the Top Agent Network. Outside of work, he has hosted fundraisers for organizations such as the Young Professional and Global Village programs of Habitat for Humanity. He is also a member of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and the National Physique Committee.
His biggest accomplishment in the past year has been nearly doubling his annual sales and commission volumes, allowing him to reinvest in his brokerage at a higher level and start growing his team. His first hire was Liz Sunderhaus, a personal assistant. “By building a team, I am able to better assist my clients with their real estate needs at a higher level all while servicing a larger clientele,” he says.
