While raising four children, Christy Callahan and her husband began buying homes in need of repair. “We would renovate the houses and then sell them privately,” Callahan explains. “It was a lot of fun, financially rewarding and a great learning experience for the entire family.” After successfully flipping more than 22 homes in several states, they moved back to Chicago six years ago, and Callahan decided to become a licensed broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. “My clients appreciate my personal experience in house renovations,” she says. “I am able to offer advice regarding home flow and various design elements.
For the second year in a row, Callahan received an Outstanding Achievement Award from @properties Christie’s International Real Estate for her $5-10 million in sales. For her success, she credits creating personal, meaningful relationships with her clients. “I believe my personal investment in each of my clients, whether listening to their concerns or promptly answering a text, call or email, gives them comfort and a sense of relief,” she says. “They understand I am here for them, providing exceptional personal service to create success for them in an amazing market!”
In addition to one-on-one accessibility to her clients, Callahan believes in the use of creative marketing technology in order to understand market trends and provide her clients with top-notch service. “I provide sellers with my knowledge by offering a custom website along with video and digital advertising across all social media outlets to reach the broadest possible audience of buyers,” she declares. “In many cases, they receive multiple offers and sell within a couple of days for over asking price.” She also provides buyers with the ability to find and tour privately listed properties before they hit the general market. “Digital marketing is absolutely an integral part of my business to assist my clients,” she insists.
Recipient of the Fastest Growing Agent Award from Homesnap in 2021 and named a 2022 Area Specialist by Top Agent Magazine, Callahan serves on the board of trustees for the Northlight Theatre in Skokie.
