What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? A few things: a bad attitude, improperly dressing for an occasion, not dressing for your body type, and believing in the term “age appropriate” – not everyone ages the same.
What is your favorite piece of clothing and why? Any of my Diane von Furstenberg dresses (I have a closet full of them): they flatter every figure, are classically feminine, comfortable, and easily go from day to evening.
What do you consider a must-have accessory? Nude shoes, they go with almost any color and elongate the legs.
What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past? A mullet!
Where are your favorite places to shop? Off Fifth Outlet, the Saks Fifth Ave. sales rack, DVF.com, eBay, Marshalls and any clearance rack. In this economy, there are great deals to be had. Stores are unable to sell off their inventories, providing discount retailers with the best selection of goods. There really is no reason to pay full price for anything. It’s a buyer’s market!
