@properties bolsters leading market share in first half of 2013 and becomes Illinois largest independent realty firm.
Chicago’s own @properties began to build on its leading market share in the first half of 2013, and midway through the second quarter landed another major achievement- becoming the largest independent real estate brokerage firm in Illinois for the first time in the company’s 13-year history.
Data According to BrokerMetrics:
- @properties had a closed residential sales volume of $1.90 billion and market share of 7.25 percent from January 1 through June 30, whereas Baird & Warner had a sales volume of $1.76 billion and market share of 6.71 percent.
- In the city of Chicago, @properties landed the No. 1 residential brokerage firm with a market share of 15.46 percent through June 30; the No. 2 broker had a market share of 10.91.
- On the North Shore, @properties is the second largest and fastest-growing brokerage firm, increasing 17.2 percent year-over-year which is the largest increase among the regions top firms.
The company is proud to note that it has managed to grow by the hard work and results of its 1,200 agents, not by mergers and acquisitions.
@properties has opened new offices in the Uptown neighborhood on Chicago’s North Side and in New Buffalo, Mich and has plans in the works for an office in Glenview later this summer.
In addition, the company has introduced an internal mobile application that allows agents to market pocket listings and share information on vendors and other resources.
