Janelle Dennis joined @properties when there were fewer than 100 Realtors at just two offices, and she played an integral role in its growth to one of Chicagoland’s leading brokerages. Her professional accomplishments over the past 12 years demonstrate the significant contributions she has made to the real estate industry. Dennis has sold more than 500 homes and $175 million in sales. She has also been consistently ranked a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer each year for the past 12 years. Most recently, the organization ranked her among its top 1 percent of producers in 2015 and 2014, with sales exceeding $21 million each year.

  A marketing graduate of Kansas State University, Dennis previously enjoyed a 15-year career as an advertising executive at leading ad agencies, working on campaigns for brands like Kraft, SC Johnson, and Wrigley’s Chewing Gum. “That experience honed the skills I rely on today when selling clients’ homes,” she explains. “I learned the importance of visual presentation, which is part of staging a home, and professional quality communication – from high-quality marketing materials and photography, to descriptions that make a home come to life, to effectively branding and positioning homes for buyers and sellers.” Her clients include first-time buyers, luxury home sellers and purchasers, developers, and investors in multi-unit buildings. Having lived in Chicago for more than 20 years, she is particularly adept at showcasing all of its diverse neighborhoods, though she specializes in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Old Town, Bucktown, Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village, West and South Loop, and Lincoln Square.

  One way Dennis supports her clients is by continuously educating herself. She holds multiple industry designations, including Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and Certified Negotiation Expert. She has also completed the Graduate Realtor Institute (something less than 5 percent of Realtors have achieved), which requires 90 hours of training in real estate law, ethics, investments, marketing, buying, selling, and new technologies.

  Dennis was named the Chicago Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year when she first entered the industry, and most recently received the first-ever @properties Relationship award for creating outstanding connections with clients and colleagues. Describing her approach as professional and honest, Dennis says clients know they can trust her expertise to accurately guide them from start to finish. “I love my work and it shows in my results, and that includes the many people my previous clients refer to me,” she says. “It’s a wonderful feeling of accomplishment every time I help someone find the best home, or sell one quickly for top dollar. I’m so grateful I can help make that happen.”
