Honored in 2014 as the #1 RE/MAX agent in Illinois, Sarah Leonard has been a lifelong resident of the Chicago suburbs and uses her extensive knowledge of the area to help buyers, sellers, developers and investors with all of their real estate needs. Sarah’s insider knowledge about all aspects of the industry allows her to bring a unique understanding of buying and selling to every transaction to the benefit of her clients.
Self-described as energetic and passionate about her career, Sarah entered the profession just as online technology such as Zillow.com was being increasingly leveraged to bring real estate to life. Drawing on her own technology skills and experience, Sarah analyzed how people research real estate agents and created a strategic approach to her business based on this knowledge. Even today, she continues to use technology to support her clients’ needs and to enhance their experience with her team. “I believe staying ahead of the latest real estate trends in technology has helped me provide the most cutting edge service to my clients,” she says.
Sarah initially supported primarily first-time buyers because of the homeownership opportunity that pre-recession list prices and interest rates afforded. While the economic downturn proved challenging nationwide, she continued to thrive despite the unexpected market shift. Today, she still counts new homeowners among her clients, but her reach has broadened to also include sellers and new construction developers. Sarah credits this to her dedication to provide the best service she can as well as her willingness to make herself accessible whenever clients need her. As she explains, “Meeting and developing relationships with clients is key, and helping people to achieve the huge goal of buying or selling their home inspires me.”
In addition to her top 2014 RE/MAX ranking, Sarah has been inducted into both the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and Chairman’s Club and has received Chicago magazine’s Five Star Real Estate Agent Award. She thanks her clients and colleagues for her success by leading her team’s monthly Facebook donation and organizing charitable service activities in the communities they serve. After all, the people she works with and the clients she works for continuously motivate her. “I feel so lucky to do a job that I love because when you do what you love, it makes it very easy to excel.”
