Eight years ago, Matt Laricy decided to focus his business on downtown Chicago. He had no office presence and not much knowledge of downtown, but he had a winning attitude. Not allowing failure to be an option, he practiced his lifelong principles of hard work and dedication to establish himself as a leader among cutting-edge brokers. It worked – he and his group, The Matt Laricy Group, which is a part of his firm, Americorp Real Estate, have achieved the Gold Level award for sales from the Chicago Association of Realtors. Laricy was also recognized as one of the National Association of Realtors “30 under 30” Realtors in the country.
His love of the real estate business began with his father, a 35-year veteran of real estate. “The most valuable piece of advice he ever gave me was that results are directly related to effort,” Laricy says.
Although he specializes in the downtown Chicago area, Laricy doesn’t limit himself to just one demographic. Whether he is navigating the way for first-time buyers, empty-nesters, international clients or people seeking luxury accommodations, he has experienced it all. And to keep sales moving, he runs a paperless office that provides all parties in a transaction with 24/7 access to documents and schedules.
“As a smaller company, we are able to test out our own technologies without constraint, which allows us to remain ahead of our competitors,” he says. “Once they find out what we’re doing, we’ve already moved on to the next big thing.”
