With over a decade of experience in home lending, advisor Timothy Smith brought the knowledge he gained from working in Chicagoland to Southeast Michigan.
Smith began his career with JPMorgan Chase in Chicago as a personal banker, working closely with the bank’s home lending advisor. “He took me under his wing, and I moved into a home lending role in my 12th month with the company,” Smith remembers. “I love the flexibility of the role and being in control of my own income and success. I enjoy the division of time split working with the bank team and also building an outside network in the industry.”
Smith relocated his family to Ann Arbor in 2021 and has been expanding his network ever since. He’s grateful that a large portion of his business in 2023 came as direct referrals from past customers. He received his highest number of customer referrals to date last year and says he’s honored that so many of his customers trust him with their friends and family.
In his 11 years as a home lending advisor, Smith has seen it all. “I’ve been in so many scenarios over the years with the company and feel ready to address any issues or concerns,” he says. “I’ve found that transparency and communication are the keys to a positive experience for everyone involved. Not all transactions are as straightforward as others, and I enjoy helping customers in complex situations meet their goals. Being able to help customers navigate in this challenging market has made the past year very rewarding.”
Smith has received a number of awards and recognition for customer satisfaction, and has been ranked as a top producer with Chase Bank for many years. He says his success all comes down to communication and building connections with others.
