Glynnis Johnson, Real Estate Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

With 25 years in the real estate industry, Glynnis Johnson began her career in commercial real estate property management and has spent the last 17 years growing a successful business in residential real estate sales in the Chicagoland area. “My experience as the property manager at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, downtown campus, prepared me to navigate the demands of simultaneously managing the needs of multiple clients, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the performance of contractors,” says Johnson, a broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. “This knowledge has been beneficial to my investor and developer clientele; as well as my luxury clients, first-time homebuyers and repeat buyers and sellers who are looking to upgrade, or downsize, into a new home.”

After an introduction, a buyer or seller consultation is always a must. “It’s important to be organized and have systems in place. The consultation is the first step in gathering information in order to understand the unique needs of each client.” Her clients appreciate this meeting, as it also provides them with a clearer understanding of the homebuying or selling process.

Exceeding client expectations with her optimistic outlook and fierce work ethic, Johnson believes that trust, communication and integrity are essential for a successful client experience. “I’m not a transactional broker, and I value my client relationships,” she explains. “Being knowledgeable, transparent, authentic and focused has allowed me to gain their trust.” She has definitely earned their loyalty, as 75% of her business is generated from referrals.

Johnson is a Certified Residential Specialist, which is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents. She has earned NAR’s Pricing Strategy Advisor, e-PRO and Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist certifications. She also holds the designation of Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist.

In her free time, Johnson enjoys visiting family, traveling abroad, hiking and spending time with her husband and their rescue cat in Roscoe Village.
