“I’ve always admired that in real estate, the opportunity for success is truly endless if you put in the effort, regardless of your background,” says Kim Mayer. Her personal and professional contacts have taken notice, making the majority of her business referral-based. Mayer’s clients describe her as professional, experienced and hardworking.
“Being able to help people make their dreams become a reality is truly gratifying,” says Mayer, an agent with Baird & Warner. “If you closely listen and understand your clients’ needs and put them first, success will follow.”
Mayer has been fortunate enough to live and work in both the city and the suburbs, which has given her a good understanding of the Chicago metropolitan area and its amenities. She grew up in the southwestern suburbs, worked and lived downtown for the better half of a decade and is now raising her family in Homer Glen. Sharing all the little details that make these areas desirable to the buyers, sellers and investors she represents is something that comes easily to her, because she has enjoyed it all. “Buying or selling real estate can be a very stressful experience for many,” she remarks. “I am here to help guide my clients through the process and make it as stress-free as possible.”
Prior to real estate, Mayer worked as a branch manager at a Fortune 500 company, operating multiple locations and managing a team of employees. “Working there taught me not only how to run my own business, but also the importance of sales and customer service,” she says. “In real estate, it’s all about putting your clients’ needs first.”
Being in the industry for a short period of time, Mayer has made her presence known. Most recently she received Baird & Warner’s 2020 Vice President’s Award and Homesnap’s Top Agent award, ranking in the top 25% nationwide. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors. Personally, her biggest award arrived in May: the birth of her second child, a baby girl.
