Benjamin Lissner, Michael Hoover, Dina Lissner and Tim Ratty of HL2R at Compass have combined their unique perspectives and industry know-how to form a team of brokers that get the job done. With Benjamin and his husband Michael focusing on the city and Tim and Benjamin’s sister Dina specializing in the North Shore suburbs, the team is collectively able to serve a diverse client base of buyers, sellers, landlords and investors.
“Every member of our team is highly ambitious, hard-working and driven,” they say. “While we each have very distinct personalities and motivations for doing what we do, we universally appreciate the very tangible benefits of our hard work in this industry.”
Since last November when Benjamin and Michael merged with Dina and Tim and the newly compiled team of four joined Compass, they have increased their sales numbers to more than twice what they were in the beginning of 2018. “This was a lot of change to initially handle, but after going through some growing pains, we are truly set on a path of immense growth and success,” they say. “We are already beginning to plan a possible expansion of our current team so we can better serve our rapidly growing client base.”
Prior to entering the residential real estate market, Benjamin worked in commercial leasing and property management, Dina was a teacher before transitioning into a role as stay-at-home mom, and Tim was a futures and options broker on the Chicago Board of Trade for 35 years. While both Benjamin, Dina and Tim tackle real estate full time, Michael continues to work as a freelance flutist and music teacher while balancing his responsibilities at HL2R.
Dina is a recipient of the Character Counts Award from the City of Highland Park and both she and Tim volunteer with Trout Unlimited and Project Healing Waters. Benjamin and Michael are actively involved as patrons and donors with a number of Chicago’s fine arts organizations. They are all active Realtor members and have earned the Real Estate Negotiation Expert designation.
Outside work, Dina and Tim indulge their love of nature while Benjamin and Michael, along with their dog, take advantage of everything Chicago has to offer.
