In Chicagoland’s competitive real estate market, Ryan Parks, a senior broker with @properties, managed to accomplish an incredible feat. Not only did he assist many move-up clients last year in selling their homes, but he also helped them find the perfect next home within the same low inventory market.
Rising to the challenge helped Parks become the leading agent in individual volume at @properties’ Bucktown office in 2017. The well-deserved honor followed his 2016 turn in the Chicago Association of Realtors’ top 1 percent of Realtors. Parks, who has worked in real estate for 14 years, holds an MBA degree and is a Certified Negotiation Expert, credentials he puts to good use when closing deals.
Clients describe him as trustworthy, candid, professional and knowledgeable about the real estate industry. “I’m willing to offer my opinions and suggestions without making them feel like I’m pressuring them down a specific path,” he says.
Parks represents buyers and sellers in Chicago and the Western suburbs who are seeking a multitude of property types: condominiums, townhomes, single-family homes, multi-unit buildings and new developments.
He says that achieving work-life balance, and being around to play with his kids and watch them grow up, is his greatest accomplishment. In his free time, he even coaches tee-ball. “So many times I found myself laughing at their quirks and questions or taking deep breathes out of frustration, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!”
Parks can relate to clients because he has experienced many of the same challenges as a homeowner himself. His proudest moment this past year involved moving into a new home with his family. “Being able to welcome our third child, sell our primary home and rehab the newest home before and after moving in — let’s just say many of my situational examples for clients come from personal experience.”
By truly caring about his clients and always having their best interests in mind, Parks says he is able to reach his own goals, personally and professionally.
