Industry veteran Brian Blackmore returns to Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty

by Emily Mack

Brian Blackmore, a seasoned commercial real estate expert, has affiliated with Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty. Blackmore has over 30 years of experience with a specialization in land sales and land development consulting and, recently, spent eight years at Caton Commercial Real Estate Group as senior vice president.

At Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty, he will lead The Blackmore Group alongside partner Sandra True, who worked with him for five years at Caton Commercial. Together, they will operate out of the firm’s office at 6400 N. Northwest Hwy, providing consultation to both residential and commercial developers.

Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty, Blackmore founded and still leads Blackmore Land Development Services (BuiLDS), a land development and construction management consulting firm. He also still serves as the senior vice president of development services at New Path Construction and Consulting.

Blackmore was affiliated with Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty previously, from 2011 to 2015.

“I’m happy to share that I’m rejoining my partner, Sandra True, at Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty to expand The Blackmore Group,” Blackmore said in a press release. He went on to discuss his specific niche in the industry.

“There is a shortage of small industrial buildings in the Chicago market and elsewhere,” Blackmore said. “I don’t let that challenge stand in the way of helping my clients fulfill their visions. I offer them a full-service collaboration, finding a piece of land on which to build, guiding them through zoning and financing, and helping them put the whole development together.”

Dan Spiegel, vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty also expressed his excitement over Blackmore joining the team. “His extensive experience and proven track record in commercial real estate, particularly in land sales and development, will undoubtedly elevate our services in the Chicagoland market,” Spiegel said.
